Capturing from big to small
From the mass expanse of the starry sky, to the smallest of creatures on this beautiful big rock floating through space. Capturing it all is a privilege and I feel obliged to share it with my fellow humans. I hope you like what I’ve captured.
Today I will do what other's won't
The clear winter air makes for some of the best photos I’ve ever shot. I think it’s a shame more people don’t get to see the beautiful landscapes of a Canadian winter. Having said that, most of the places I go during the winter are untouched, making for better photos. Of course, you can only do that after confronting the bitter cold that is part and parcel of a Canadian winter.
Travel slowly, travel thoughtfully, go off the beaten path
Being a photographer, it causes you to travel slowly, thoughtfully, and to notice what others don’t, to seek out what lies beneath the surface. So you get to know a place like you know your best friend. I urge everyone to stop and take a breath, don’t be in a hurry, take everything in and, take those few photos that really mean something when you’re in the moment.
Photography is more than beautiful imagery, it’s about capturing a moment. A moment that appears but you will never forget, but if you do, you’ll have that photo to bring you back to that place.
